Why wolves?

Rew’s Bath Time is for use on children and not animals. Our wolf pup mascots are tributes to the children in our lives, and a way to honor Andrew, our late brother. Andrew passed away in 2015, and was lovingly known as just “Rew” and “the Wolf.”

Are your products organic?

Rew’s Bath Time strives to create the most natural-based product we can, but we are not 100% organic. What this means is that, while most of the ingredients in our products are natural extracts, some are not. This is not a cause for concern, however, because our inorganic ingredients are primarily minerals. Our bath suds contain sodium chloride, for example, which is just salt. Salt is not a living thing, and therefore can’t be considered an organic ingredient.

The main purpose of our non-organic ingredients is to create the foaming bubbles parents and children love. We do not use chemical detergents or harsh compounds for our suds, only nontoxic ingredients that occur in nature. The majority of the suds come from our glucosides, which are plant-based surfactants made of plant oil and sugar. A surfactant is a compound that lowers the surface tension between two substances, like a liquid and a gas. They naturally occur and are responsible for anything that bubbles or foams. Surfactants can sometimes be harmful, especially if they are formed from sulfates, but Rew’s carefully chose surfactants that were naturally-derived and safe for the environment and your child. We also use nature-based preservatives to keep the organic extracts from decaying, which they would do very quickly without the support of minerals and plant acids.

Are your products hypoallergenic?

As with any product that uses natural oils, Rew’s Bath Time products may cause irritation for children with sensitive skin or allergies. This is often due to cross-sensitivity, where similar plants can cause similar allergic reactions. For example, a child with a ragweed allergy may respond negatively to chamomile extract. For this reason, it is important to test your children for allergies and avoid essential oils that may trigger a reaction. Eden’s line of bath products are free of essential oils and therefore the least reactionary of our products. Be sure to check the list of ingredients for any allergens specific to your little one.

How many pages are in the bath book?

Each bath book contains a six-page story of a fun adventure had by Eden, Lennon, Parker, or Vinnie!

What are the bath books made of?

Our bath books are made of eco-friendly, BPA-free, phthalate-free PEVA. PEVA is a non-chlorinated vinyl that has been proven to be a safer substitute for common plastic and other waterproof materials. PEVA is naturally mildew-resistant, which makes our bath books very safe for prolonged exposure to water. They’re also biodegradable, which means you can recycle them.

Where are your products from?

All of our bubble baths are made in the USA.

I am concerned about the strength of the eucalyptus oil in Parker’s products, is this safe for my child?

Yes, all of our essential oils are included at safe levels for children ages 3 months and up if used as directed. We encourage parents to make the right choices for their family, so if you are still concerned we recommend using Eden’s fragrance-free line.
